firefly2Talking Leaves

(our Journal)

illum_n ative Americans referred to the letters of early European settlers as “talking leaves.” We chose this name for our journal (1980-2001) because we use a tree as our structural symbol, and the title would remind us that most of the paper we use comes from trees. When we decided that we could no longer support a broad-based membership, “Talking Leaves” became an occasional “talking leaf” as a way of sharing insights and stimulating ideas. We have included a collection of significant articles here that we shared with our members over the years. Most of the titles speak for themselves, but we have added some editorial clarification where it seemed helpful. Please don’t let the earlier dates put you off. Most of these articles are just as timely today as they were when published.
